Chillin' In Suburbia

I got bored out here. Nothing to do in the burbs on a Saturday night. It's rather depressing. So I'm taking a page out of Mill's book and making my own top 5 lists =)

Top 5 bands
Okay this was a relatively easy one...
1. Cat Stevens
2. Interpol
3. Brand New
4. Built To Spill
5. Sigur Ros

Top 5 albums
Getting more challenging. There were a few close runner ups being Pavement and The Stokes
1. Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
2. Cat Stevens - Tea For The Tillerman
3. Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine
4. Sigur Ros - Takk...
5. Elliott Smith - Either/Or

Top 10 songs
Okay sorry I just couldn't narrow it down to a top 5 ha ha
1. Cat Stevens - Where Do The Children Play
2. Built To Spill - Goin' Against Your Mind
3. Interpol - Untitled
4. Pavement - Gold Soundz
5. Sigur Ros - Saeglopur
6. Interpol - PDA
7. Elliott Smith - Between The Bars
8. Neutral Milk Hotel - Oh Comely
9. Band Of Horses - Our Swords
10. The Strokes - Reptilia

Top 5 'spending saturday night alone and bored' songs
Keeping in theme with being stuck out in the burbs on a Saturday night...
1. Cat Stevens - Another Saturday Night
This song fits the mood so perfectly ha ha. Oh Cat Stevens how I love thee
2. Samuraj Cities - Saturday Night Is Never Fair
I also love Samuraj Cities, and nobody seems to know who they are, so I suggest head over here and download some of their tracks
3. The Rakes - Retreat
Oh and this makes me want to jump around like a lunatic and dance! This is exactly what I feel I'm missing out on
4. Bright Eyes - Saturday As Usual
Ha ha this one probably makes me more depressed about the fact that I'm stuck out in suburbia on my Saturday night, but an awesome song nonetheless
5. Brand New - Last Chance To Lose Your Keys
And then Brand New picks me back up and reassures me that I'm 'better off home on a Saturday night' anyway =)
